With a peculiar narrative style Tom Hopkins tells us exactly how to achieve success. Lacking the charisma of speakers such as Zig Ziglar, Tom still manages to hold on to his audience with a steady pace of useable suggestions on everything from goal setting to undoing the negative programming the majority of us are subjected to throughout life.
He uses examples centred around work and increasing earning potential, but these can easily be transferred to personal goals such as attaining that Black belt you've always dreamed of; emulating van Dam's box-splits across chairs; or simply being as fit & flexible as you can be.
Tom's central message is that 'success is the continuous journey towards the achievement of pre-determined, worthwhile goals.' Now he's not suggesting you drop everything for a life of charity and do-gooding; rather that if effort justifies reward, and you remained focused on your goals, you'll not only achieve but you'll enjoy the journey!
As well as providing action steps for changing your life for the better (and I'm already applying many of them!), Tom advises us on how to deal with the bumps along the way - a dose of realism to balance the machine-gun optimism.
All together a valuable 52 minutes, but don't forget to stop listening and start doing!
